In the “Land Down Under,” a hosting provider offers excellent products and services. Today we are speaking with Mr. Dan Simmon from HB Hosting, where we will learn more about their company.
Take a 5 min break and read this great interview.
You have been on the market for almost four years now. What was the idea behind HB Hosting?
Initially, HBHosting was a small start-up among a group of friends. Australia has always been a little late to the party when it comes to the internet, and we noticed that there was a gap for an easy-to-use platform that would allow you to create the website you wanted without the high cost of hiring a completely digital and web design team. We had to learn the ropes and set up the systems in place for ourselves, but now that we have carved a path, our customers can follow along, and they love it.
What were the main challenges that you had the face when you started the company?
The biggest challenge we encountered was being able to transition from a small project as friends to becoming the hosting company our customers rely on now. There were so many small details we had to learn along the way. What we do now was not achieved overnight. That’s why people come to us. we did the hard work so that they don’t have to.
You mentioned on your website that behind HB Hosting, there is a team of web developers who know their ins and outs. Who stands behind your team, and why is teamwork essential for one company to be successful?
HBHosting started as a group of friends that decided to make the product they wish was available to them 4, but really 8 years ago. While there are roles and a hierarchy, at our core, we’re still that group. Everyone knows that their voice will be heard, and their work will be recognized. We work together, not because it’s our job, but because we love it. We like each other and work well together.
Meet the team!
There’s Dan – that’s me. I am the CEO and Director, the driving force when it comes to business and the face of the company. My main goal is to guide the business into the future with new and innovative ideas.
Caleb, the backbone of the company. His priority is client-centred care. He ensures our clients are our number one priority and helps develop strategies toward a more user-friendly experience. Additionally, Caleb deals with our marketing partners and builds those connections with different social media influencers.
Aryeh the CTO of HBHosting is responsible for overseeing the development and dissemination of technology for external customers, vendors, and other clients. He keeps his eyes open for new software and updated hardware. Constantly looking forward, acquiring the best tech where it counts.
Oded the senior consultant of the group works to build client relations. He ensures our clients are heard within the team and helps us come up with different strategies that we can further improve our services.
And of course, the customer. The customer is a part of the team! Without their will, their input, their passion, no website would be created. At HBHosting, the customer is of course the customer, but they are also a core of the team. We work together to get your vision out there.
What are the products and services that your company is offering?
Currently, HBHosting offers cPanel web hosting and web design services. We are also currently putting the finishing touches on our upcoming VPS hosting service.
What is Australian hosting?
Australian hosting means that the server is physically located in Australia. This means that all hardware and software codes are up to Australian standards, and if you are ever in need of support, you know it’s local!
On which market are you present at the moment? What are your plans on expanding to other markets?
Currently, our market is local businesses. We’re working on expanding to a national level while maintaining our exceptional level of service.
What is your opinion in terms of new technologies and services? Are you planning to introduce something new to the market?
We are not here to reinvent the wheel. Web hosting has been developing for 20+ years, and we will continue to update as new trends develop. What we guarantee is optimized, individual, customer support. It’s a premium service at an affordable rate.
What are your plans for 2022?
We are currently in the process of developing state-of-the-art Australian VPS hosting. VPS hosting is the next level up on customisability and resources allocated to standard cPanel hosting. It allows you to run almost anything you want from websites to game servers, to large databases. (it’s what?!!!)
Where do you see HB Hosting in the following ten years?
In the next 10 years, we see HBHosting as the go-to place for all Australian web hosting, web design, and VPS hosting.
Finally, is there anything else you would like to add about your products and services that we missed mentioning?
I just want to say that the primary reason for HBHosting’s Genesis was to get regular people on the web, in whatever form they want. First, it was me and my friends, but now it’s private food blogs, local colleges, first aid providers, you name it. I love the fact that I can give people their first or even twentieth step onto the web. You can put almost anything you want there. It can be an expression of who you are smack in the middle of the digital universe.
One thing I did want to say is: Starting your first website or even switching to a new hosting server can be intimidating. If you’re just starting, learning the ropes can be tricky without a supportive hand. The web is packed with information, it’s hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. Switching to a new host has its own issues that make the process trying. Like, transferring all your data, or making sure your new software will work with your original software with no simple task. Have no fear though. HB Hosting is here.
